what's the longest trip you have rode a Dyna on? mine was to the Redwoods, Oregon Caves and Crater Lake which was about 1300 miles round trip. this summer we are doing Sturgis that will be about 3000 round trip, but we will probably be on the King.
these guys will have most if not all of us beat, although not on Dyna's they still make me jealous. the original article stated that the total mileage will be 15,000 miles, Seattle, Wa. to the tip of South America with a cargo plane detour around Columbia. http://www.oregonlive.com/living/ind...g_ride_so.html
Last summer, about two months after picking up the Fat Bob, my wife and I took a 1600 mile round trip to Colorado via the Black Hills. It was a great weekend ride.
This May/June, I'm going on a 5500 mile trip on the same bike (with a different setup) that will have me going through south through Missouri to Texas, then west across the desert to California, then north (staying in Cali), and finally heading east again, through the Tetons & Yellowstone. I'm SUPER pumped.
Great thread idea. I love touring and my Dyna is a great vessel for it!
I made a 1400 mile trip in August. We went over the North Cascades, across the sound and down the coast. On the way back we went through Olympia to Seattle, I90 to 82 and back to the Tri-Cities. Did it in four days and I'm ready to do it again.
I only got to make one over night trip since getting mine in june. It was just 2 days and around 800 miles but was alot of fun. We left MO and headed to Bowling Green Kentucky then north to Lexington. The only time we got off back roads was between Mamouth Cave and Lexington we ran the interstate. Plan to do many more and longer trips this year.

If you hadn't spent all your time making that bike look so good you could have had more time to ride.
Georgetown, Texas to Lincoln, Nebraska and back. Stayed on back roads, beautiful time of the year......late September, about 2,100 miles. In fact, my signature picture is from that trip.............East of Phillipsburg, Kansas.

I am planning the following trip (this August) on my Super Glide Custom, which will probably be an 8 day trip, approximately 1800-2000 miles:
Virginia to Upstate NY
NY to Upstate Vermont
From Vermont, head over to Maine
From Portland Maine take the ferry to Nova Scotia, Canada
Loop back through Canada into Maine
Cruise down the Maine Coastline
Go from Maine to Gettysburg, PA.
PA to Virginia
