Posted this in the Tech forum no response, i know you guys wont let me down.
06 Dyna superglide....just installed chrome DNA rotors, took a few 15min rides no issues at all. Then it was pretty warm the other day went from place to place for a few hours, on the way home the front brakes started to moan when i would stop. In the morning when i got up and was pushing my bike i could hear the pads rubbing! Is there something wrong ? How do i stop this?

sounds like you do not haev pad greese on the back of the pads, put some high temp on there and you will be golden... also bear in mind there is a film on new rotors that you need to remove with alchole bfore you install them (it is used to protect the metal from corosion when they are waiting to be sold... you can also burn it off while they are on the bike... you can slightly hear the pads on the rotor typically on all harleys
A sure fire trick I have always used is to buy a roll of gasket material from an auto parts store and glue it to the back of the pads, never fails. If JRK or my advice still fail to rectify the problem check the centering of the disc. Loosen the bolts on the rotors pull the lever in and secure with rubber band or what have you, inspect the disc to see if it has pulled away from the hub and shim if necessary. Hope this helps. KEVIN
Thanks guys, did not know there was a substance on the rotors that needed to be cleaned. I'm gonna start with the pad grease and see what happens then i'll work from there thank you.
did you change to new pads too? The old pads are matched/worn to the old rotor so a little brake noise can occur till they seat smooth to the rotor you now have.

dude that is your issue then! your pads need to be swapped as well... just get some lyndall golds on there use a bit of high temp pad greese on back of them and pop em in there... shoudl take care of your issues... i did not even think to ask that... good ey Rounder!
