So I bought some of the vintage fuel tank emblems a while back and finally got the mounting kit for them today, which brings me to my question
What is the best way to ensure that they are even and following the lines of the bike when i mount them? Just eye it is my inclination but I am sure there is a better way.
i appreciate any help at all...well not any help because I took joe's advice before and when i peed on my stock emblems it did not make them easier to take off, but if you ever want to know how to clean **** off a bike pm me.
Mount them on a wall in your garage Really though I think you can just stand back and look with your eye and get them close enough. You can only see one side at a time.
I eye-balled the first side and got it where i wanted it,made marks with painters tape (like Tweakin). Then when you get that one mounted find a specific areas to measure from, one for your vertical and one for your
horizontal. Make marks with painters tape and mount.
Usevtape and a spirit level to make sure they bare staight.I used silicone to fix mine as the mounting kit is not all that good and mine were not symetrical. good luck
