FXD speedo mount on drag bars (prototype)

I have been trying to figure out how to put risers and drag bars on my 08FXD by researching parts and hanging with this forum. This speedo mount definitely answers one of the mysteries for me. At the risk of hyjackin this thread, can you help me with info as to how to change the top of the forks so I can install risers and drag bars then this speedo mount? I have a machine shop at my disposal so the speedo mount design is awesome and it looks great!

Hey there I also was having the same problem with my speedometer and idiot lights with my 08 super glide. I bought an older speedometer mount for an FXD and had a mount made at a friend machine shop for a good deal. If any one needs machine shop work done let me know. They did a great job on my part. I'll post pictures later.

I went with the Wild1 8" drag bars because they are one piece with internal wiring. I would check them out as an option for you. It's a little bit of work to change out the bars and speedo but I think it's worth the effort. I find the bars much more comfortable than the stock buckhorns and the speedo looks great tucked between the bars and tank.

It should not be too hard to modify the drawings for dual gauges or even reduce it down to just a bracket to mount the idiot lights. If you want to use my drawings as a starting point just PM me and I will email them to you.

If you do ever get this into production, please let me know. This is exactly what I've been looking for, for my 09 Super Glide. Although I love my bike, the handlebars have to go. This solution would be perfect.
