I feel for you. We have had a lot of road damage from all of the rain we've had this year. The freeways are broken up in many places and there are chunks of asphalt in the lanes, you you really have to be careful.. They are finally starting to repair the 5 freeway by me, but not before I blew out my cage's front tire TWICE! Keep your eyes peeled!

Can you claim for damage from whoever is responsible for maintaining the roads in your area? I did that once years ago when I dinged the rims on a previous bike on a large pothole hidden under a puddle. It tends to get repairs made a bit quicker.

Not for that chunk of asphalt, since it was from a "very recent" pot hole due to the storms. They are fixing both sides of the freeway where all the damage was, so I guess I was not the only one who had problems.
