Red Wing. I get them off the boot truck that comes by my work every 3 months or so. Good prices, great quality. I can even payroll deduct over 3 paychecks.
I have a pair of Red Wings steel toes. The most comfortable boot I ever had. Not bad for walking in either. Lots of boots are comfortable to ride in, but suck for walking in.

Red Wing engineer boots. Great boots and durable. I wore them on the bike and in the shop where I worked. Daily wear for over a year and still going. Company bought me a set of SS Doc Martins so those are my new ones. Great boots also, but for some reason the tread pattern doesn't fit right on the foot pegs. Crazy, can't quite figure it out.
I have some 7 eye lace up Doc Martins that I bought for riding, but have ended up wearing almost every day for nearly a year and they’re holding up fairly well. Steel toe. Fairly comfortable. I think they were around $110. Made in China now, but I haven’t had any quality issues so far.
The most comfortable boots that I have are my Montrail hiking boots….fit like a glove! Over the op’s price range tho.
Everybody has their favorite for riding. I combined the walking and riding routines into a pair of hiking boots. They come up just over the ankle and are great for walking and riding. They are black Klondikes. I think I paid about $80.00 for the pair and my next ones will be the same. Great boots. The came from a local boot store.
