Default Question on handlebars

Hello all...I am putting a set of 13" apes on my bike within the next month but I just thought of something...The apes im getting are 1 1/4" not the normal 1" diameter. Am I going to be able to mount my turn signals where they currently are on the handlebars(stock location) or am I going to have to get a relocation kit for them and mount them on the forks? I kind of like them on the handlebars where they are now.
Thanks in advance!!!

99% of the 1 1/4" bars taper down to 1" diameter for the grips and switch housings. Check the dimensions on your particular bars, but I'm betting they'll be 1" diameter at the grip ends.

Cheers,
J

Also, check the clamp area of the new bars, unless you're prepared with new risers if they're 1 1/4" there, too.

Turn sigs should be mounted to your controls, not directly to the bars.

Like above, they need to reduce to fit the controls.
Its a good time to move them especially if your rewiring.. just my .02

sigs are on yor controls the bars will taper, if not you will have to mill out your risers, get all new controls, have custom made grips and throttle sleeve... lets hope they are 1 in huh... oooh ya, depending on what year bob you have the 1 1/4 bars may not fit without dropping your tubes into your trees a bit, so be ready for that (personally i think that looks funny... but some people dont notice at all)

Ooops...Sorry guys I should have been more specific. I am ordering the entire package. The bars with all the wiring already ran internally, chrome controls, chrome levers etc on them already. Just need to mount, hook up cables and wire harness. I know the are tapered to fit 1" risers though.

The turn signals mount using the mirror hardware so if the new controls use stock HD mirrors or similar you will be fine.
