Got a couple of photos my 6-yr old son snapped while I was wrenching on my bike today. Not the best quality, but I kinda like the blurred one.
Waiting on some parts to replace my tank with the FXDL tank pictured.
I took a bunch of stuff off and dropped it off at the powder coaters. I am going to powder coat my wheels, but dropped them off at the shop to have the bearings pulled and the rubber removed. I'm due for a new rear tire, so figured it'd be a good time to get them done.
I would be one of the adults you are refering to. I would love to learn to take better shots but I always find something else to do besides learning how to properly use a camera.
Priest, forgot to ask what color you coating the wheels? I'd guess black but I have been known to be wrong.
Well ... except for the blurred one, I cropped them to center the subject, so not exactly as they originally came out.
He is a talented little fella, though ... really appreciates Harleys!
I ordered the console, idiot light assembly and bezel, tank cover and seal .... Got the fuel gauge for $25 on e-bay and I picked up the gas cap from the local stealership ... for about twice what I would've paid at Zanotti ... had forgotten to order online (didn't think the price differential was that much!). Should be able to reuse just about everything else.
Gloss black wheels ... I dropped off the pulley, the front end (except for lower sliders), and rear strut covers for coating this afternoon. I was going to take in the passing lamp bar with lamps and turn signals, but thought the chrome might be a nice contrast.
Will probably drop off the lower sliders in a couple of days when I get them apart.
You know, I'm an amateur photographer, I use a canon xti slr and have some wonderful scenery photos etc.
I can take scenery like nothing else, but I'll be damned if I can take a good pic of my bike.
