hey guys, i bought a standard front progressive spring kit for my 07 dyna.... the pic on the bottom is the prog spring with the pvc spacer... the pic up top is the stock set up out of my 07 bob
do i need a longer pvc spacer?.... contents of package says 'required spacer is included'
what am i not getting, here? ....any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks
I did the the same kit trash the metal spacer and use the pvc spacers. The pvc spacer provided seems to be stronger than the metal ones even though its plastic. Dont think about too much just throw it on and add 26.6oz of racing fork oil to each tube and ride it. Let us know how it turns out. Dont forget the washer between the spacer and the spring.
I just installed these in my 08 FXDL. After doing it, I had a lot of "wobbbel" both in turns and at higher speeds. I wrote Progressive and they suggested shortening the spacer by 1". I would not have guessed this would help but I did it. I got my Dyna back and Progressive is the way to go. I am saying, follow the directions to the "T". They know their product and always willing and fast to answer any questions you may have.
