Sounds like a load of fun. I had a business trip in LA...my secretary booked my flight for Ontario (sigh) but on my drive back to the airport, I passed the big Harley Stealership off the 10. Thought real long and hard about renting and not caring about the consequences of not returning to work! But, I got lovely lady at home, so I am sitting in this damn airport wishing I had ridden down here! Have fun and be safe - those touring bikes simply cant hold a candle to the handling and sweetness of the Dyna!!!!
I can see it now. Your first post on the forums when you get back is going to say something like this "Guess what I traded for"...
You'd better not let your bike know your gonna be cheatin on her next week.
Lol, I'm keeping it a secret from my bike so she doesn't get jealous and in the meantime I'm giving her lots of attention! I won't be trading her in either. This ones a keeper, I am however planning on buying a second Harley, probably next year when I finish my tour in Korea. I am going to get a Road King or Street Glide and use that to ride two up.

You think she isn't noticing all the extra attention you're giving her? She knows something is up...LOL
I'd love to have a Street Glide for my two up riding. The wife would f'n kill me!
My wife is TDY to Nellis AFB in Vegas and won't be back until the end of march. I'm getting sick of eating cereal and hot pockets everyday, lol! I thought about riding out there myself to visit her, but it would be over 50 hours round trip in the saddle with only a day and a half to spend there...not worth it.
Sorry about venting in your thread...have fun and stay safe!
I worked at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area in the summer of ’07. We had a lot of bikers come through out at Callville Bay. I guess you’re from LA, so, the scenery might not be incredibly impressive to you, but I thought it was gorgeous out there and had to be awesome on a bike. Personally, I would ride out to the Dam and then up through the park to the Valley of Fire state park. You might even check out Callville Bay if you want to stop in for a drink or something. You can loop back to Vegas on Interstate 15.
If you have not gone yet there is a nice bar at the top of Mountain Springs pass. Just take Blue Diamond Hwy (160) west from I15 (Bass Pro Shop) the turn off is just pass the Fire Dept can't miss it. Take a jacket & Gloves!
If your here today I hear they are haveing a poker run out to Parhump to all the brothels. Not sure where it starts.
