Having this strange problem with the bike.
Dash light keeps switching on and off when riding and fault code P0563.
Bike runs perfect , no other symptoms except losing the ilumination on the dash completely.
The code means Battery Voltage High ????
What can i do to rectify - i have cleared the code but its since happened again.
Any ideas please.
Battery voltage is high
The Battery Backup Unit measures and evaluates the battery pack voltage on a continuous basis. If the voltage is above a warning threshold, this AEN will be posted to the user. When this event happens, the Battery backup Unit is still able to backup the 3ware RAID controller but the user should replace the battery
Cant believe it !! after the dealer having the bike for nearly 5 weeks , i now discover the battery is Knackered !!! lol.
Back to the dealers this week then , gotta hurry with it as my warranty runs out the end of March ffs.
Cheers Pall
i" had that code a couple of times, turned out to be loose ground cable at the battery. when the cable looses contact with the battery the alt charges wide open causing the high voltage code.
I'm really trying to figure this out. I'm getting code P0563 high voltage but when I check with a multimeter at the battery with the bike running i'm getting 14.2 at idle and 14.4 at 2000 rpms. I've reset the code and went for a pretty good ride and it threw the code again. Doesn't seem as though the voltage regulator is bad putting out those volt levels. Only thing I can think of is maybe it's getting a spike in power causing it to throw the code. Any input will be helpful
