Exhaust Mounting
Recently i got myself a cheap set of Revtech mufflers to replace the SE Pro II (one muffler has road rash), and while doing the installation, I noticed that the only mountings were:
- Muffler to header via clamps
- Muffler support bracket between two mufflers
There were no brackets to 'tie' the mufflers to the frame or whatsoever.
Whatever bikes I'ved own in the past, all have a hanger or bracket or at least something to secure the mufflers to the frame or subframe.
My current 06 FXDC doesn't?
Am I being paranoid if i feel there is a chance the muffler assembly could one day just drop off onto the road due to vibrations?

There is support where the mufflers clamp on to the head pipes... look again. Otherwise your pipes would be waving in the breeze.... for a few miles anyway.
If you are missing them, then you need to get them.

My SEIIs are just clamped to the header pipes Ive had no problems at all. The stock pipes only had a braket tying the mufflers together but it didnt attach to the bike anywhere. I check it before every ride they have never been loose.
