Yesterday evening I installed my new Screamin' Eagle Stage I A/C kit. This evening after work I installed my PCIII USB. I loaded a map on it that I got from Jamie at Fuel Moto.....It's a map for SE A/C, SE slip ons and 25* injectors. I ran up the road a short piece and came back home. I didn't have time to ride much. Without getting it dyno tuned right away, what is the best way to know if I'm close or if I need to adjust something or try a different map? Also, shouldn't any of the maps that are close to my setup be close enough that it shouldn't cause any engine damage if it's not right on? Thanks.
How did you like jamming that thing in the bike? Kind of a bear. I am using one of fuel Moto's canned maps and I'm happy with it. Could it be better? Probably but I don't know that I would really be able to tell the difference. My plugs look good and it runs great so I'm not going to worry about a dyno tune.
Once the bike is WARM: WOT from 2K RPM's up to the rev limiter. If it pulls strong ALL THE WAY UP with NO MISSING whatsoever and comes back down with little or no decel popping your probably on the money or damn close!!! If the map is off you will probably get a slight miss somewhere in the upper R's.
If it's an up to date FuelMoto map you should be good to go.

Ackman1968, it was a bit of a bear jamming the PCIII up behind the electrical panel. It didn't take too long though. Creekhed1, I don't mean to be a moron, but what WOT? Hopefully I'll get a chance to ride a bit Sunday and I'll have a better idea of how it's running.
"WOT" Wide Open Throttle. The map should be good no dyno tune needed if it needs adjustment just contact Jamie and they will tweek it for you. Stage 1 dyno tune waste of money in my books most times they put you back than forward.
txtec, did you have yours dyno tuned or just go with the canned map from Fuel Moto?
last one we used on a 08 dyna had a air cleaner,slipons,211 cams, made 86 h.p. on base fuelmoto map, tuner got 93 h.p. out of it. i use a wideband air fuelratio gauge on mine, the maps i"ve had from them are a little on the rich side, about 12.5.

Here is a link which will let you evaluate your spark plugs. This is a great way to determine if you map is close.
