Default Does this sound right?
My dealer, who's been pissing me off lately, wants $35 per wheel to mount and balance new tires, and that's if I bring them the wheels off the bike.

Does that sound high to anyone else? Or am I just not used to HD pricing?

Sounds like a frickin bargain compared to what dealers around here get. Go with it.

Do it yourself. Still sounds relatively inexpensive.

Haven't had tires mounted around here yet, but a few shops I used to go to advertised 1/2 price to mount and balance if you bought the tires there. Basically just doubling the charge if you bought online.

Don't have the tools or the know-how to do it myself unfortunately. That's the one thing I always go to the dealer for. Also, the prices on Metzler 880s at my dealer is freakin absurd. Almost double the online pricing I've found.

I've swapped bikes several times lately, so I haven't replaced tires in quite awhile. Guess I'm just outdated with prices.

Most around here charge 40 for mount and balance if you bring the wheels in. There is one place tho that includes the mount and balance in the price of the tire. I go there.

That sounds about right for HD, but still kinda high. You'll save by going to your local Indy. My guy does mount and balance for $20.

Doesn’t sound too bad to me either….. a lot of places around here won’t even do it if you don’t buy your tires from them. Call it a ‘liability’ issue. LOL Whatever!

sounds GREAT for HD... i charge my buddies $20 bucks... 35 is pretty good for HD... damb near the best price i have heard... call honda! they will usually do it cheaper!
