Default Help mechanical question?????

A friend of mine put apes on his 08 street glide, he ran all his wires internally, he reassembled everything, the bike starts fine but only throttles up to 3000rpm, it will not throttle higher. His bike has the electric throttle. Anyone have any ideas as to why his bike is doing this? Umm besides being, a bagger haha

or the wires weren't reconnected right, or loose.

Yes, electric throttle on Touring models, no cables.

Thanks guys.. When he sodered (sic) he made a bur on one of the connections. The bur punched through the shrink wrap, and into another wire. Filed down the bur, new shrink wrap, and now that fat *** cow runs fine.

Nice glad you got it sorted out. When it comes to electrical it's usally something easy to fix, the hard part is finding it.
