I just purchased some mirrors for my 07 Lowrider. The left side on but the rt side is a pain. The oem mirror threads right into my turn signals, they sent me 2 bolts that are worthless. They also sent a couple threaded on bith ends but don't seem right. Maybe I was brain dead that day, has anyone else done these mirrors. Help out an idiot please. Probaly have to go to a hardware store and buy a piece of all thread.
I'm guessing the pieces that are threaded on both ends are adapters for Metric bikes. I just bought a set of aftermarket mirrors that had (what I think) is the same thing you're describing.
Post some pics of what you're working with and of the switch housing/turn signal on your bike and I'm sure you'll get a quick answer.
Sounds like i know what your saying the new mirrors you got and are trying to put on the stems are threaded inside the stem female thread, the original oem are male thread comes down off the mirror just like a bolt and thru the controls then into the turnsignal bracket.
Problem with most aftermarket mirrors is the fact that the thread inside of the steam is coarse and the thread inside of the turnsignal bracket is fine. If what iam saying is correct then you will need to go to the hardware and get a bolt that has coarse on one end and fine on the other. if the threads are the same then you already know what you need to do go to the hardware get some all thread locktight it up in the mirror steam slide thru the control and tighen the signal nut up on it. It can be a pain in the *** but worth it when done. I went thru it with some mirrors i had then moved the dam signals to the tubes and no more issues lol.
