You need the stand the signals mount to but I don't think the stock ones will move the lights closer. I think the sell shorter ones though. You may be able to trade someone for the parts you need if they are looking for the docking hardware.
When I bought my bob it came with detachable hardware. What do I need to take it off so that the lights dont stick out so much.
I have a couple sets of the OEM mounting stalks. If you need a set, I'll send them to you for cost of shipping. I probably have the mounting bolts which go through the struts to the signal heads, as well. If you are interested, I will dig through my stuff and look.
I have all of my stock take off stuff as well because I have the detachables installed too. However, I can't remember if the bobs use chrome stalks - do they?
Anyway, in my opinion, not worth the effort. If it gets the signals closer, it's not by much. You might want to consider relocating the signals somewhere else, like the license plate bracket - there are kits for that.
