Well I started my winter project a bit late...LOL now I am rushing...She is stripped down and I am getting her blacked out and doing some pipes, air cleaner, and either the PC III or the SE Tuner..I am doing the following in Gloss Black - Wheels, Trees, Struts, Rear Blinkers, Battery Box, Gauge Cluster.. In Flat Black I am doing the Rocker Boxes and the Air Cleaner I am doing the Goodson Little Breather and just powdering it Flat.. For the Bar setup I am doing 1 inch Chrome Risers and some Black 1 inch track bars also did a 2 inch tank lift. For Pipes going with V&H SHort Stags and also gonna do some HD Black Rotors all around. Also gonna do Barnett all Black Cables. What do you guys think anything else I can black out or add to give it that blacked out hot rod look... Oh yeah I am also wondering should I do new Progressive black rear shox or should I powder the stock ones?? I was gonna do the rear fender either a SB or doing a setup like Fupl18 did his setup looks BAD ***...But since my wife loves to ride I figure I would leave the setup as is and just add the New Blacked out Rear Backrest for her until I can get her a 883 Iron.. I am open to any ideas just looking to make her look like a real mean hot rod Fat Bob..
I like my bike low and mean, thats why i rock 10in rigid struts but if you ride 2up alot go with some 11in progressive hd if your wanting a lower look. Or 12in. Either way it will still look good!!!
Thanx guys.... Yeah a bit late but I have some help...lol we just got afoot of snow here his week so I am thinking of a month time to be done that is with no fender mods right now..
Yes I will be riding 2 up so I was thinkin 11 inch Progessives too I am sure I could sell these HD shox to someone who wants some low profile chrome shox they only have 250 miles on them.. I think they go for $399 from HD... LMK if anyone wants them $250 for them shipped or trade for 11 inch black progressive..
What do you guys think of the track style bars with one inch rise I think it will give it a nice look and should still be comfy to ride..
Oh yeah I was thinking of doing a Bare Bones and pad for the wife can I still run the HD backrest with that or will it look out of place??
Wow your really knocking alot of stuff out at once.. I cant wait until you get it all done with pics.. Goings to look sick.. Keeps us posted man..
LOL I have to brotha... You want to give me a hand and make me a rear fender....LOL Bad *** bro i hope my FB looks half as nice as your.. Hey what do you think could you ride 2 up with that setup??
Hey Guys wife just gave me the ok for wheels.. I am gonna wait a bit since I just got these powder coated or I could just sell my wheels with tires for some xtra cash they only have 250 miles on them and they will be powdered gloss black..... But anyway I am either doing spoke wheels like a black spoke or a contrats cut wheel like a PM Judge or something like that... What do you guys think I am def doing a 18 rear with probably a 200 tire but what do you guys think up front 18 , 19, or a 21 up front on a Fat Bob... Thanks
