Farring brackets
Went out to check on the ferring brackets after noticing a severe shaking. Removed the outer ferring and all 4 of the brackets were broken. Went down to our local dealer and priced out the parts. 170.00$ plus tax. Walked out shacking my head after beeing told that was a common problem with them and they would replace them under warrenty. Unfortunatly my warrent was up. Come home and fired up the mig and spent two days welding they back to geather. I added a L bracket on two vertical brackets for strength. and welded a half washer on the Horz bracket for the same thing. Took a while to get the project finished but it is done. Started the old beast up and the ferring is almost motion less. Unfortunatly I have a slight virbration sound that I will have to find. Well that is the life of a Bike rider. If you have a mig and some time to spare they can be welded with very little efford.

To benwiggin2 Farring brackets.
The bike is a "06" Electra Glide Standard.
30,000 klm on the meter.
Did not really take notice of the vibration soon enough.
Had to weld all the brackets back together Wanted to much for replacement.
Had her out today put 100 klm on and it is rock solid now.
