Many here (including myself) have repaired the broken bracket by adding a 90 degree angle steel bracket used for furniture, etc from Lowes/Home Depot type stores. Lay the new bracket in place, drill some holes, add some nuts and bolts and you're done worrying about this problem. This takes care of the center brackets.
On my 06 there are also braces that extend out to the speakers that were also broken at the speaker end. Had a guy at work weld the end back on and also reinforce the end with a small piece of round bar. These 2 repairs have worked well and without further issues for the past 40k miles.
Kept blowing headlight bulbs and Dealer rep told me to check the brackets. Sure enough one was broken. Replaced both and still using same bulb 3 years later and 20K miles later. Easy fix with new brackets. Not that expensive either.
