Default Bat wing brackets !

Ok I've replaced all of the Fairing brackets on my 06 Ultra, some of them more than once. I broke another one over the week end so this time instead of paying $46 for another flawed piece, I brazed it back together & brazed the little tab to the underside of bracket as well. I'm hoping that will make it stronger & if it works, I will pull the other one & do the same. Any one else have an issue with these things ?

This is how I fixed both my uprights. I'm too cheap to spend $46

Default L Brackets do the trick

for the uprights just go to the hardware or wal mart buy a couple L brackets 1.50 -2.00 and drill hole in upright and attach with a small bolt and nut, now you have a bracket that won't break anymore. fits perfect in the corner. 20,000 later no problems

As I pointed out in a later thread, I replaced both the left and right support brackets on my wife's 2007 Ultra for $26 at the local H-D dealer parts counter. If you have been charged $46 for one bracket it sounds like you are paying too much.
