Thanks. I bet they sound even better in person. Did you mount them in the same place as the stock baffles?
Yea, it took me a wile, I didn't understand the screw was going to fit under the heat shield, just like stock, I would have put them in months ago.
I got mine used from ebay, so I never got the instructions, but I believe they recommend 6 inches from the end of the pipe but mine is in the stock baffle hole, right at the end of the pipe.
I'm glad to see everyone likes their BCT's like I do mine. I couldn't wait to get home from work today and take the bike back out to listen to them again. After a short 15 minute nap I went to back out of the garage, and damn if it didn't start pouring rain about the time the back fender cleared the door! Pissed me off but I still listened to them in the garage for a little...lol.
Good lord, these things sound amazing. It's so much closer to the old school sound then the stock V&H baffles in my short shots its nuts. Not quite there but I am riding a twin cam...
With my FuelPak and my short shots I would sometimes have a problem with popping on decel. The BCTs pretty effectively eliminated that, I was doing some pretty hard down shifting and not a single pop.
It's like they tuned the FuelPak for the BCTs and not the stock baffles
If you are debating about getting these or not. Stop, just buy the damn things.
I sure like having my T-Max with Autotune, it will even pickup a cam change.
Yeah, I've kinda always wondered why HD just didn't ship these bikes with wide band EFI instead of narrow band...
It would make life about 100x easier for the modding community. If they wanted they could also have a tunable wide band set up for custom maps (some sort of SERT).
