Sold the Fat Bob. Just couldn't find a place to put my daughter's car seat! We decided that for now, a Jeep Wrangler is a more appropriate toy since we can all enjoy it together.
It'll be going to a nice lady who my wife says, "looks ROCKIN' on it!" Glad it'll be going to someone who can really appreciate and use it.
I've appreciated all the good advice and amusing discussions; it seems the Jeep world is just as obsessed and may even spend MORE on bits and pieces to customize them!
Wife says she'll miss the rumble... so I'm guessing in 5 or 6 years, when my daughter is old enough to ride, we'll get another one.
That is harsh man.. My baby girl is 8 months.. Glad I had my vehicles before getting the bike i guess.. Wish you luck in getting another one in 5 ta 6 years man
Don't be sorry... I'm sad to see it go, but really, a Jeep is my first choice... wife likes a bike better which is why we got the bike last year (the MPG at $4/gallon helped, too), but she wants us all to be able to have fun, together, too. So... Jeep for now and more than likely, another bike in a few years! Best of both worlds!!
And for the record, this isn't a "wife induced sale"; we discussed both and decided that right now, the Jeep is better for the family and we both agree on it.
As much as we love Harleys, it is good to have the priorities in order. I had to do the same as you years and years ago. Finally got back to owning a bike and now I appreciate more than ever what I missed. Best wishes and hurry back.
That's to bad that you had to give up the bike......but family does come first. You and your wife made a good decision though....you have another toy you can all have fun with, only it has four wheels!!
Expecting our first on or around April 14th. I am sure my ride time will take a hit this year. Just a shift in priorities is all. I've got the bestest fiancee in the world who loves riding too and understands a guys gotta get out every once in a while. But all the best to ya and hope it works out in a couple years
