I pretty much followed mud's recommendations to a "t" when I was wrapping my pipes back in December. Great results.

Good stuff. I'm interested in wrapping my pipes but I'm worried about the cracking issue. Does anybody know on average how long it takes for the pipes to get to the point where they will crack? 1k miles, 5k miles, 10k miles?

hey Mudd thinking of wrapping my true dual pipes on my 06 street glide to cut down on the heat even more what are the chances of the stock pipes cracking? Its a fullsac kit

I was chatting with my son on IM and I showed him the link and pictures of the pipe wrap. He definitely wants to do this mod once I get home. Is there a specific brand tape we should be looking for and can we get this at any auto parts store?

Mud, you need to start your own topic and put all of your self help explanition threads in there, that would help a lot of people find some great tip/advice. You could even call it "Mud for Dummies!"
