I have an 09 Fat Bob running Stage 1 with Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes. Wanted to find out if there are any performance gain/loss between 2 into 1 and 2 into 2 Big Radius.
The shop guys I have spoken with have told me that the 2-into-1 V&H has a slight performance advantage over the 2-into-2 V&H, however, it is not near as noticable as when you went from stock to the 2-into-2 V&H. I am also researching as I am looking to upgrade from stock, and I am trying to balance looks vs. performance. I think the 2-into-2 looks soo much better, that I think I am willing to maybe give up a small increase in performance.
Say you are cruising along at around 2k rpm's. Well, with the 2-1 when you roll the throttle the bike jumps and pull good. 2-2... not so much... more like roll the throttle, make more noise than power, wish you would have downshifted. I went from 2-2 big radius with BCT baffles to a fatcat. Way happier with the fatcat.
The best 2 into 1 is a Thunderheader.I IMO dont like the looks of it but, the performance is super
I agree and I sold my 2-2 Big Radius and got the Thunderheader. I had a free dyno and HP was at 75 and TQ was at 95 with the Thunderheader. The sound is deeper and as other stated, the pulling power without a downshift is very noticeable.
