Great information. Thanks to all. As of now it has only happened a few times. It doesn't bother me all that much (assuming it is not bad for the bike), but if it can be better I would like to try and improve it. I will have to see what I can find out about any reliable tuner techs in the area. Thanks again - only on the forum for about week and love the support already.

I would make the dealer redo it, its not "bad" for the bike per se but its certainly not good for it either.

a good set of baffles would help also. I ran my BSS open for a little while and the popping was horrible. I've got some big city thunder baffles in them now and the popping has lessened considerably. I'm not saying baffles would cure it without a re-tune, just wondering if it's not something to consider...

If he puts baffles in it than he will DEFINATELY need a re-tune. Any time you change the way your bike breathes, in or out, it should be tuned.

Just to update on this topic. I had PM'd Doc who recommended someone in the area for tuning. Took the bike this weekend. They had it on the dyno all day. Said it was lean. Everything was well below the 13.2 ratio. They corrected it, increased the TQ and HP. Ride is much smoother - less vibrations. Still has some decel pops in first gear when I come off of high RPMs, but he said that there would be a little of that. noticeable improvement. Don't know if Doc is on or off the site, but thanks to him and to everyone for the great info.

I get a little decel pop every now and then and my bike is totally stock with stock mufflers. Any Harley engine with sufficient valve overlap is going to pop some on decel, it doesn't matter how rich you run it.

They said that it was nothing to worry about and it doesn't bother me. I was pleased with the outcome, especially the vibrations.
