I am looking at some dynas now, and would like to know if a street bob or a WG gas tank would fit a Dyna super glide. Are there aftermarket tanks with konsole for 06 later models out there? Didn't find any, but maybe you guys know more?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am used to softails, this will be my first dyna.
Thx in advance
pretty sure it will work as long as you try to match generation. I put an 02 WG tank, rear fender, and an 08 front end on my 02 superglide. No issues at all. for my generation, everything is pretty much the same from 99-05.
But a lot of things changed in 06 with the tanks and fenders I believe. so as long as you stay within 06-08 you should be fine.
Nothing really out there that is a complete "kit" for the tank swap. Wireing harnesses are different for the FXD and the FXDWG. I had to buy every piece seperate, then make my own wiring harness to plug everything up.

They will all interchange on the 06 and newer as long as you get the console for the tank. I think I read on here that you can actually go back to 04 and the tanks are the same but I won't swear to that. The Street Bob and the Lowrider use the same tank and the Wideglide and the custom are the same I think. Don't take what i said as fact though, I'm just spitting out stuff I've read here.
It will work but it will cost you some $$$. I think after the tank and all of the other parts mine was like $800 but I got the tank for $250 with both fenders also. If you need anything you can pm me with questions.

Fat Bob and WideGlide tanks are physically the same and as previously stated, SOME SG-Customs. There's a post on here somewhere telling the fitment of the 3(?) types of tanks. I saved the data from it to a WORD document for future reference, and it is as follows:
This is the info from the post, and is not my own. I take it on the good faith of the original poster, as should you. Bearing that in mind, verify the above with any other sources you can find until you're satisfied.
