Default Dyna FXDBi Gas Tank

I got ahold of a tank for my dyna, and I wanted to make sure it would fit - can anybody tell me where the part number is stamped on these things? The only stampings on this tank are underneath, as follows: 03 30 04 | 05 | 06

I'd rather not pull my tank to fit it before it goes out for paint (but I will if I have to)...

It **looks** right, but looks can be decieving.

Here are some pics -

EDIT: The stamping in the tunnel is 03/30/04 05:06 - I compared it to another tank off a street bob, and this appears to be the date of manufacture (?). That would make this tank one off an 04 low rider or similar. Editing original post so that it can be searched easily by future folks with similar questions. Looks like it'll fit just fine, thanks again everybody

david, I don't think you will find a stamped part #. I very well may be wrong.

The tank in your pictures **looks** right to me.

Actually, it looks identical to my 06 SuperGlide tank,
other than the caps and the drain port through the bottom.

Measurements of the mounting points are the same as my dyna.

On a side note, notice the stamped channel
running the length of the tank thru the tunnel.
It's welded to the tank properin 10-12 spots.

Way back when, the tanks had little tabs welded to the tank
as mounting points.

Every tank that I ever saw leaking, and repaired,
leaked at the point where a tab was welded.

I don't know the year thatHD firstdealt with this issue
but I do believe they addressed the problem
in a very positive manner.

Guessing here, those #s (03 30 04 | 05 | 06 ) are stamped
into that backbone running the length of the tank thru the tunnel.

The top end of the tank looks like it's from a lowrider, according to the manual... indicated by the 'v' shaped indentation around the instrument panel hole. Thanks Mud, Jim; The manual quite convienently doesn't have a diagram showing the BOTTOM of the tank... you've helped me confirm that this baby will work.

Now... to find me a nice set of fenders and then... PAINT!

It's -13 celcius here today. Winter is killing me.
