You'll be fine. 6ft, 225 lbs. here and no probs. The only people that ever tell me I'm gonna want a bigger bike are the guys with baggers that wish they never got one in the first place.

Ha ha ... big guys got a sense of humor! "eat soup" ... ??

6'4" 205# ... I'm a runt, but a Dyna with forwards (I rode with forwards before switching to floorboards) fits much better than most Touring bikes and Softails with floorboards.

Also, it seems like the forwards on a Dyna give you more legroom than the forwards on Softails ... every Softail I've ridden felt a little cramped compared to a Dyna with forwards.

Personally, I can't ride a Dyna with mids ... although they got their staunch supporters! As someone once described it to me: when riding with mids I feel like I'm 'poopin' in a urinal' ....

5'11" @ 250, SB fits fine with mids and now better with fwds. However, I can't seem to get the reach of the handle bars quiet right even after pulling them back an inch. Other then that, the Dyna's are a perfect mix for handling, performance rides and comfort. Yes the touring class might be somewhat more confortable on the 500 plus mile rides but the softtail class in my opinion (outside of cost, balanced motors and suspension) is pretty much the same as Dyna's IMO. I rode a friends custom softail and it felt like going from a Jeep ride (which I like) to a Cadillac ride (almost put me to sleep). The rake on the custom made it far more harder to corner then the SB, I acutally had to push the handle bars around the corners whereas the SB I can use my pinky to corner with.

5-10 265 lbs. solo rider.
18,000 miles on a 07 Street Bob and loved every mile.
Weight was never once an issue with the bike, just me.

6' & 285, run with mids and highway pegs and 2 up 90% of the time (although she is all of 80 lbs wet) and its still a better ride than my Rocker or Road King classic

Well I was 5'10 and 298 pounds not too long ago and the Street Bob fit me well. Now I'm at 216 pounds and it fits even better (runs better too without hauling as much *** around)

6'3" 230. (sounds like a stupid wrestling entrance) any way. I have an '09 Street Bob, stock, rides great and does not feel small. I do not feel awkward on it either.

At 5-11 and over 50 the mids were not ideal for me, it would become uncomfortable after about an hour. The forwards made it a very comfortable ride just by straighting out the leg. Interesting enough to me, I sat on a '10 Fat Boy Lo yesterday and the floor boards position with the lower seat put quite a bend into the leg again. Even though this softail looks really cool, I dare say it wouldn't be as comfortable as my FXDC on a nice long ride. I found the same thing on the touring bikes, sit higher, legs bent, I think a person would definately need highway pegs to get the legs straightened out for the long hauls. With all the quick attaching hardware available, one could make a bagger out of dyna for the long hauls and quickly turn it back to a cruizer, really the best of both worlds if you ask me.
