Hello all. I am thinking about a Street Bob and have heard alot of "its too small for you" talk. So I was wondering if there are any big guys who ride them and can give me some input on the comfort factor they experience. I know in the end its about the personal experience, but just looking for some feedback to start out with. Thanks in advance.
6'4" 295, Bob with forward controls. Never had the stock mini's, went with 13" apes from time of delivery and amd currently running with T-Bars. However, switching back to 14" apes with 1.5" risers. Just feels better.
I have a super glide but it's the same frame, and i'm 6'3" and 300lbs and fit great on it. But forward controls are mandatory. Didn't fit at all with mids, they are for people 5'10" and shorter.
Actually rode my dads '08 Street Glide yesturday and felt like a giant on it, it didn't fit me as good as the super glide. The seat sits up higher, the tank sits lower and the floor boards, even with the 2inch extention kit cramp me up, and wind came over the fairing and just blows right at my face and giggles the crap out of my glasses. I love my SuperGlide...

You happened to answer another issue of mine because the other bike I am thinking about is a Street Glide. Was wondering if the fairing was too short and would be getting blasted in the face.
The Street Glide overall doesn't fit me well at all. The good things are the locking bags, cruise control the stereo. However I can ride for quite a while on my Dyna before taking a break because i'm more comfortable. On long rides on the freeway i wear a full face which keeps the wind out and the bugs off, and i have speakers in my helmet that plug into my IPOD. If there's nobody around i can use the throttle lock like cruise control but don't recommend it too a new rider.
Comforts on my Dyna are, Throttle rocker, forward controls, i have the harley passenger seat extention for the stock seat which adds a lot of back support. I also have a short sissy bar to bungie things down like jackets, sweatshirt or a backpack on a trip.
The best part about my dyna is that it cost half as much as my dads Street Glide.

We now have that straight. "Short people have nobody" is that not how the song went. LOL
Iam 600 about 300 +/- have a street bob and love it. I kept teh mid controls, howver, had them put on the forward pegs. I enjoy swiching back and forth while riding. No complaints here - dont really care what I look like though!
