I use my ipod with Skull Candy Smokin' earbuds they have a convenient volume control on the wire near your neck. Rockin some tunes on the 30 mile back highway commute, then easy to turn down in town.

+1 on these ear buds, much better bass than others I have tried. I finally broke down and had those ear mold inserts made that you see at all bike shows...a great improvement. I had them made to use with my ear buds, now the damn things don't fall out and I hear even better. I ride without a helmet whenever possible but use a full face when really cold or bad weather, the molds don't work with the buds in the full face.

I rock a boombox on my shoulder...one hand to hold the tunes, one hand for the throttle.

Seriously though, I haven't listened to music on the bike yet, and I don't know if I will...I'm kinda paranoid about hearing what's going on around me since the cagers never pay attention.

I use my shuffle with ear buds. In town I usually dont, but when I get on the highway, I always have it on. I'm not buying that you can hear "traffic" at 60mph on the highway w/o a windshield or something like that. In town, sure, but not at any decent speed...

How does that work?? I thought the molded ones had their own ear buds.
