Maybe its simple...
Take the front wheel and fender off. There is an allen-head bolt at the end of each lower in the center where the axle sits. Usually can get them out by hand, but helps to have an impact wrench to spin them out quickly so the slider mechanism doesn't spin too. Then pull the lower off and there you are. Replace your seals and change the fork oil while you're there. You have to take the cap nuts off the forks to add oil.
What? Why take off the front wheel and all that... I installed mine and it took me 10 minutes.
...take caliper off. loosen triple tree pinch bolts. (make sure bike is strapped down on jack really tight.) When pinch bolts are loosened, pull the forks out. When front end is off, slip fork boots on. Put forks back through tree's, tighten, put caliper on, and DONE.
