Purchased a set of V&H Straightshots. Still new and in the box. 2nd thoughts, that they may be a little too loud even for me. I understand that quiet baffels are available.
Think I will sell at a loss. And reconsider. Any help?
What's too loud for someone may be too quiet for another, and is also affected by what type of helmet you wear, so the only good way to tell is to listen to them in person, maybe at a dealer or bike night. The quiet baffles only cut down 2-3 decibels, but take the edge off and deepens the tone. Comes down to personal preference.

ditto. But I'd add that the quiet baffles also shift the torque curve down a little which I like.
For my taste even with the quiet baffles they are on the tipping point of being too loud. However, unless someone knows of some exhaust-magic, free flowing=loud / quiet=restricted. So bottom line is I really like them, and will keep them until I get a whole new exhaust system... probably a 2 into 1.
Yeah man, try them out. If you're selling them at a loss, at least put them on and find out for sure if you don't like them.
ditto, I don't really like LOUD exhaust like drag pipes. My vance and hines with quite baffles are PERFECT! nice and deep at idle and good and loud while getting on it, but without hurting your ears!
