On rare occasions when I wear a fullface helmet, I can't say that the buffetting is worse (as in more violent) than with my 3/4 helmet, but it's a different type of buffeting. Kind of like the helmet is vibrating and it make my vision a little effed up.
For me its the wind coming over the windshield and hitting the top of the helmet. I get wind from down around the engine, but it's not the kind of wind that slaps at you.
Some dude bought a touring wind deflector that attaches under the bottom fork tree and cut it up a bit to fit on his Dyna. May want to look in to that.

I have the same problem with my FF behind the quick detach windshield. Not a problem with my 3/4 and sunglasses.
I've adjusted my windshield to get less buffeting, but depending on my speed and the wind speed and direction, I still get some buffeting, just not as bad.
I never thought about takin' off the snap on visor on my half helmet...I'm gonna give that a try.
For what its worth I have a FXDF with the detachable windshield. If I have the windshield on and am wearing my helmet, a FF, it is annoying. Without the windshield it is fine.
I usually ride without the windshield and with the helmet, if I put on the windshield I don't wear any kind of helmet.
