Default shifter hole on primary cover

For those that have put forward controls on your scooter what did you use to plug up
the hole on the side? Thanks for your replys

I had the HD forwards, and they came with 2 plugs one black, one chrome. I used that.

Your forward control kit should come with what you need. Mine did.

mine is coming of a bike that has been turned in hsteeler has put mids back on .
Guess i can pick up this plug from them or auto store.

Cover for the original shift shaft lever hole
I used a chrome carriage bolt http://www.chromebolt.com/51618-x-134-chrome-carriage-bolt-p-845.html, and put a two inch piece of rubber hose on the threads then added some shrink sleeving on the hose to get a nice snug press fit into the empty shaft hole. If you have a black primary: Paint a unplated carriage bolt. Aluminum cover: Scotch brite a chrome carriage bolt. (https://www.hdforums.com/forum/4035128-post10.html)

HD dealer sells that little cover for cpl bucks i believe. Right now my mid linkage is still in my primary and i have the cover over it thats chrome cost me $10 bucks.
