The trim ring is home made by my good neigbourg. He is an old hobby gunsmith.
He made it from a piece of amuminium. I don't think it was much work. An engraving company made the letters and I filled them with black paint.
I'll peel off the trim ring this winter and have it chromed since the amuminium is a bit hard to keep shiny.
BTW: I didn't use a hole saw to make the hole in the dash. I just drilled a lot of small holes close to the edge and then I used a Dreml to clean it up.
Your neighbor did a great job. Not what I wanted to hear exactly, but I am very impressed. I thought it was an HD part for sure! Your neighbor didn't make any extra by chance, did he?
Did he make the trim ring around the indicator lights too?
