Anybody know if you can buy the exhaust bracket for this pipe seperately from the pipe itself?? Pulled in my driveway this evening and heard rattling and found the bracket where bolted to the frame is cracked all the way through. Its on a 2008 FXDB
i bet if u call them and are nice, they will send u a new one for free
Hey Rooti. How's that new setup working for you? I ended up getting an XIED afterall. Paid $10 more than what you were asking and ended up getting a PC before I even tried it out.
To the OP: Good luck with the bracket. How's everyone liking their Pro Pipes anyway? (Besides the brackets)
I love the pipes and I was one who said I would never get a 2-1 because I hated the looks. Well the looks really grew on me but the best part is the performance and the sound. I installed them right before I had the bike dyno tuned with the TTS and wow. It's actually quieter then my slip ons when I'm idling or in 6th gear on the freeway but wakes up when u get on it. I went on a 8 hr ride today with 9 other harleys and the ones that were behind me were commenting how much they liked the sound when we stopped.
I picked up like 15 horsepower and it just cruises a whole lot better. Now when I'm in the higher RPM's and I let off the throttle, instead of a pop all I hear is a deep BAAAAAA, almost sounds like a jake brake on a truck.
I would think that would change the volumetric efficiency (the flow through the intake, engine, exhaust) on the cylinder you have the baffle removed from ... I'm not sure how the ECM will like trying to manage the fuel for two different VE ranges. (The baffled cylinder and the unbaffled one) You may end up with one cylinder running a lot richer (or leaner) than the other.
On the other hand if the stock baffles are already pretty free flowing it probably wont change the VE values enough to cause a problem.
