Default Charging system help ??

Last night on the way home from work my battery light came on, today the battery is dead. Is there anything obvious I can look for? Cables are tight, fuses are good. Any ideas?

Check the voltage on the battery and see where it's at. take it from there. It should be around 13.

If you need a new battery get one from East Penn Deka. They are the HD battery manufacturer and you will save about $40. Google them and you can find a local distributor on their site. Or call them. My battery was $79. The dealer wanted $112. If you need a tender get the Deltran tender from Amazon.com. It is the HD tender but $25 less as well.

Nickpisp hope it's not the same thing that happened to mine. Have an '06 streetbob took it to the shop they took the primary cover off and the stator was junk. In 06 Harley went from a one piece rotor to a 2 piece rotor the bolts shered off and made junk off the stator. Going to cost me $400 to get it fixed. And it just happened like that no warning.

Mine's still under warranty so that's not a problem, I just don't want to lose it to the dealer for the weekend.

If it's under warranty let them diagnose it for you. Could be a stator, votage regulator, battery, or a combination.
