I had my scoot in to my Indy for the 10K service this week. When I brought it in, I mentioned to check the whirling noise coming from the primary area when the bike was idling in neutral. Well he didn't like it either. So he trailered the bike up to Treasure Coast HD for some possible inner primary bearing warranty work. Turned out to be just a tight primary chain or belt... forgot exactly what he said. (I'm more of a rider than a fixer) Tech told me it was completely fixed. No charge from HD.
I posted because i know that like me, some of you worry about that pesky inner primary bearing.
Oh... I had a slight steering head clunk that was fixed by re-torquing the steering head nut to spec. Tech told me it was very loose.
I pick up the bike in the morning and I'll report on both of these items after my ride (60 miles) home.
Interesting. Where ya picking the bike up at? Iron Eagle or Treasure coast HD? Treasure Coast HD is an awesome dealer. Good people there, and the way the place is set up is awesome. A lot of custom rides in there. Really cool.. AND free donuts in the morning! They always have barbecues and stuff going on there.
I LOVE that place too Adrian... I'm picking it up there in the morning. Lucky my blonde is drivin me up there. Had to promise her a nice breakfast and later a biker-burger at Judy's in Tequesta.
Nice. Sounds like a good time. I would say lets meet up, but me and a few buddies are going to Peanut Island tomorrow for the majority of the day. I suspect that I will have a massive hangover for sunday. LOL. Ever been to peanut island? Place is awesome!
