Just a follow up...I went back to the dealer cuz the bike was runnin' like crap. My third visit regarding the tune...this time the tuner spent two hours with the bike strapped to the dyno and just maybe the third time is the charm. I'm trying to keep the Sideshots instead of changing exhausts.
The bike went from 69.06 rwhp/80.93rwtq STD to 74.00rwhp/85.00rwtq SAE and a noticeable "seat of the pants" improvement on my 4.5 mile ride back to the house. The popping is also alot less than before.
I'm gonna have more time for a longer ride Friday, but I think after three visits and a bitchin' session with the general mngr. the tuner did a much better job with the bike.
I'm keepin' my fingers crossed they got it right this time.
Glad to hear things are working out better with yer side shots. Personally I really like the way they look on your bike, and although the BR looks kinda cool too, my preference is the S.S..
When do you notice this popping? Just curious, I have short shots, paired with a Fuel Pack and hardly notice any popping at all, occasionally, when compression breaking, there is a minor deep pop, but no different than any other bike I have had, my CBR 900RR does the same, but again, not severe popping, Are these popping issues that I hear about severe, or subtle? Just never heard them myself on my setup..
Mine was popping real bad on decel...just letting off the throttle. Too much unburnt fuel dumping into the exhaust with hot pipes.

Thanks for the kudos...I'm gonna try to keep the sideshots...I like 'em.
When I took My 07 Train for 1000 service had them put br 2-1 and heavy breather and tune, popped quite a bit brought it back a few times got a little better but not rite, Went to a different tuner and got rid of most of it sounds good and runs a lot better.Have run 2-1 on other bikes and they all popped a little just the way they they are I think.

What V&H map are you using?? I have the same set up & I get some popping. I re calibrated the throttle and it helped some but it's not gone. I've read on here about people changing one of the settings to help but I can't find it.

Not sure, I had it set up by my dealer. Is there a way to veriofy the current code on the device? Let me know and I can do that for you or check with the dealer..

Vance and Hines has map numbers they assign for different setups. The only way to check is to go through all of the modes on the bike and write down the number for each mode. It's not hard it would just take some time. If the dealer wrote down the map number I could look up the map on V&H website. The map I put in my bike Is FP-0536. You can check it out here http://www.fuelpakfi.com/harley1.html
I'm running the TTS. Installed it with my BR2-1. Already had the SE a/c Stg.1. I've done about 4 tuning runs, and the bike's running pretty well. No decel popping... just some basic deep gurgling.
I think that sums up what I experience with my short shots (quiet baffles). Are the "pops" something else entirely?
I guess everyone could have a different opinon on what a "pop" acutally sound like. The "rumble" I talk about sound like normal decel except lounder because of the pipe. It's definetly NOT a pop, whatever you want to call it sound normal to me.
I had another bike that I changed pipes and did not add any type of tuner. Now that bike did "pop". What I'm talking about is totally different. It's just a nice rumble sound.
