High beam headlight useless now
I upgraded the stock headlight in my 07 Street Bob to a sylvania silverstar H4 Bulb. Much better light in low beam, but high beam is up in the trees and off to the right?
All I did was remove the old bulb and reinstall the new one on this bike. How can the low beam be perfectly aimed, but the high beam be so far off that is is almost like not having a light, and all be coming from the same bulb?
I'm confused on this one. Any ideas? As I don't think it is possible to install the bulb upside down and get those cheapo metal clips back on.
I'm open to any ideas if this has happened to anyone.
Thanks...

I'm also interested to see if anyone has a solution to this problem. I still have the stock bulb but I never use the high beam cause I can't see anything right in front of me. Maybe it has something to do with us living in Ohio?
I noticed this too with my stock bulb and was going to change to the sylvania's, but not if it doesn't help with the high beam. could the headlights just need adjusted down?

I've used PIAA (expensive!!!) and Silverstars in my vehicles. I've noticed that even though you think you have it installed properly, just a slight misalignment can skewer things a lot. Take it out and re-install it making sure it is seated properly.
WARNING: Silverstars, and Ultra Silverstars do not last very long. In cages, you're lucky to get a year to year and a half out of them. I would imagine it may be less when used in a bike where the headlight is on all the time. Not too good when you consider the cost.

Bingo.
I re aimed mine while riding. I lossened the headlight just enough so that i can reach forward and move the headlight whilt riding. I actually aimed it for the highbeam at night on a dark road to were i wanted to see. It's good in the low beam too, but the high beam is more important cause i need the light more by myself then when cars are around.
