come right off with a torx on an angle. will not cause a leak. there are three long bolts.

i just INSTALLED one on my bike. i pulled of the wack tommy gun headers and installed the old school headers.

I got one loose, one stripped even though the bit ratchet had a good angle and the last nothing can get to it, might need to lift motor in frame or lightly grind head off and than use vice grips.

I've changed my stock exhaust to Thunderheader and it doesn't bother me at all to leave it on. I can't even see it unless I really look for it.

Damn stealership would charge $100 to remove during oil change im sure. I would like to put them stock torx bolts back in the holes afterward.
Holy $h1T has your bike ever been outside? That is one clean machine!

When I took mine off I took the easy bolts off first then I got a hammer and hit the bracket back and fort. This broke loose the third bolt. Then I just turned the bolt out.

I might install a Street Bob Exhaust on my Low Rider. How hard was installing those 3 front screws? Would it be easier to use regular hex head bolts instead of torx for installation? They can't be seen anyway.

Hex all the way! HOWEVER, If my flaky memory serves, on my '99 I couldn't turn out the front bolt far enough to clear the hole before it hit the frame. Maybe if you use a short bolt there.
