Default Problems with "Search" function

Was reading the posts to a current thread titled "Mid Peg Mounts" and got interested in finding more info. When I "Advanced Search" on Mid Mount, I only got returns with Mount in the thread titles...no Mid hits. So I dropped Mount (too many tach, GPS, handlebar, etc. hits) and went with only Mid...no hits at all, and I'm searching only the Dyna Forum. I KNOW there's at least one thread that should've been returned as a hit, and I gotta think there should've be dozens returned! That's my first issue.
My next question: Is there a way to search on a phrase, or on more than one word at a time? I'd like to narrow a search to include a complete phrase like "Mid Mount Pegs". Can you do such a search by putting the phrase "in quotes" or (in parentheses) ? ? ?

Thomas, I tried that example and it doesn't seem to limit google search to the site. Although the first two hits were from HDF.

There is a 4 letter minium on word search... If you got a word under 4 letters then it will not search for it... Sometimes its a pain and other times its a blessing

Try putting quotes around the two words "mid mount" that picks up 284 results mostly related to pegs and mid controls. You can also get past the 4 character minimum by putting quotes around the word and padding it with spaces. example "mid "

That format worked much better. You taught me something today. I'm in I.T. and I never knew that you could google specific sites like that. Thanks. Have to remember that one.
