Just Got my Street Bob engine work done, 500 mile break in and dyno tuned. I have a 95" kit, with port and poished heads (10.5:1), S&S 625G gear drive cams, Python Exhaust.
Looks good JW ... a little dip at mid-range though ... about where you probably need it to be flat ...
Is the Python a 2-into-2 exhaust system?
A little unsolicited advice for what it's worth ...
You might consider going with a technique the old-timers used to do that seemed to (for some unknown reason) help boost mid-range torque ... it is quite simple and there are a couple of variations ...
- drill a vertical hole through your exhaust pipe just a half inch or so away the end of the pipe ... insert a bolt through the hole extending across the pipe vertially and put a nut on it to hold it together ...
or, variation on a theme ...
- drill a hole on the bottom of the pipe near the end of it and put an "eye bolt" (looks like a lollipop) ... double nut it with two nuts--one inside and one outside of the pipe to hold it in place with the loop more or less centered in the exhaust pipe. The angle of the loop can be rotated like a butterfly valve so it's plane can be adjusted from being parallel to perpendicular to the line of the exhaust pipe ... do a little tuning by riding it with various configurations ....
Just thought I'd put this out there in the event you were not aware of this old hot rodder's performance tip ....
It did not scan right. It was SAE. And the pipes are Python Staggards. They are basically V&H Big shot staggards. Pythons are made for Drag Specialties by V&H. My scanner doesn't want to scan to whole pic. I will work on it to get the rest up. I just know it is alot faster than it was. I will pull the tire off the ground in 1st gear.
"I just know it is alot faster than it was. I will pull the tire off the ground in 1st gear."
You ride the bike not a sheet of paper. If you are happy the way the bike runs and the performance is at the engine speed you desire thats all that counts.
