Default Chrome Sliders Installed

Well first I had to make a homemade lift but after that I got it all done.

Picked up the Chrome Front end kit for $150 off ebay and then went ahead and put some Progressive Springs in it while I had it apart.

All in all it was a easy Install but was a learning experience for my first time.

Better pics later

I have a couple little things on the way (chrome slotted shift lever, Superglide Electrical Box band from the 06FXDI35) but I am done for awhile untill I need a new back tire (SE 180 going on). It has been a expensive winter.

Later on going to do rear suspention next.

I have to figure out who to believe. I want chrome sliders bad now that I have chrome wheels. But, in as many days, I've read 2 posts - 1 that said it wasn't as easy as they thought and this one that said it was pretty easy. I've also heard special tools are needed to do this. What exactly is the effort involved? Great pix but would you be willing to actually post the steps, in words, that were done to swap them out? Minus the springs - I don't care to "spring" for springs and I really have no problem with my front end the way it is now.

Really enhances the front end. Looks great. That's on my list for next winter. Good job.
