emergency tyre repairs

does anyone carry or has anyone used an emergency tyre repair aerosol.the kind thats supposed to inflate and seal a punctured tyre.would they work on a spoked wheel with an inner tube?? it says on the can that they work but i,m not so sure

I havent seen it work on an inner tube style tire only tubeless . It may pump up the tire and hold for a short emrgency run but cant see it patching a tube for a reliable long run . You say it says it can pump up and hold on a spoke rim and tube type it would be new to me . I have seen slim to tempary hold on a small leak, to get you off the road but it will shake you to death on a bike do to throwing it way out of balance lol.

If your tube goes flat, you are ****ed. No inflate-a-can can help. Time to call the tow truck and take it to a shop for new tire, tube and rim band.

I used a can in my 99 Heritage three different times. It worked great twice and allowed me to get home and take it to the shop the next day. Third time the tube got totally wasted so nothing was going to help. So I carry a can in my saddlebag.

Fix a flat is bad for aluminum, it corrodes it. Tire plugs are the way to go. I don't worry about it, i just check my pressure regularly and if i get a flat i have AAA premier with RV/ Motorcycle So i can just get a tow if i need it.

I used fix-a-flat on my spoke wheel once and it started coming out around the spokes, I didn't make it a mile and it was flat again.

This chit don't work on tubes!

I had my brother come get me with the trailer, took her home and fixed the tube with a bicycle patch kit.... worked great, no need to change the tire, straps and tube!
