Looks way better now! Should of did it along time ago. Sitting here trying to decide whats next now...
Got the GTI a few months ago - just got rid of my F150. It's not bad for a little car at all though.
Powder the Tree's....get it done for about 80 bucks if you do the labor (not real hard)....or maybe a Progressive front drop in lowering kit...(easy as hell) Thats why you get one of each Truck and Car pic below
Everyone uses appliance epoxy, you can get it at any lowe's, home depot, where ever. I'm sure powdercoat is better but a ton of folks on here have had great luck with the epoxy. Try it, worst case scenario it you don't like it and end up doing powder...chance are though it will be fine and you saved yourself some cash and downtime.
Looks great, I just did mine last weekend. You get all the clear off with 220 grit and the smooth it back out with 400. Wash the forks, dry it then paint it. Here's JRK's write up! https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...ower-legs.html
Make sure you cover everything. I barely put my fender back on thurs and I painted it last SAT and felt some over spray and the fender was 20 feet away on the other end of the garage on a shelf 10ft high. Lucky I have enough wax on my bike I buffed it all out. Here are some prep pics!! Oh and don't be impatient with me and touch it the next day unless it's like 80 or 90 degrees where you live.
Wow that looks great JaronB. I was thinking I'd have to take the forks off but I guess not if your careful enough to cover everything. Great job! By the way, I noticed your sig, I'm a Surface Fleeter.
