Wow that looks great JaronB. I was thinking I'd have to take the forks off but I guess not if your careful enough to cover everything. Great job! By the way, I noticed your sig, I'm a Surface Fleeter.
Thanks man! No you don't have to take them off. Make sure you mask off everything even stuff in your garage because the over spray stays floating for a while and get everywhere. Hooyah Navy!!
Looks great, I just did mine last weekend. You get all the clear off with 220 grit and the smooth it back out with 400. Wash the forks, dry it then paint it. Here's JRK's write up! https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...ower-legs.html
Yup, they look great and those spikes are leathal. I still can't get over how sharp those points are.

Forgot to say you should take your front wheel off too!
I've started my lowers, trees, headlight and handlebars. I've put about 2 coats on in the first day and they've sat for a few days now. I'm worried about chipping from rocks. How many coats are people going with? And is anyone wetsanding and clearing?
Is there any reason that this wouldn't work on the stock battery band or horn cover? It really does seem like a cheap way to add some flair to your bike. How well does that black epoxy match up to Harley's Vivid black paint?

My base color is vivid and you can't tell a difference. Everybody just sees shinny!! Yea you can use it on the battery band, just prep it good and don't bend it after you paint it. I did that when I tried the truck bed liner. It looked good till I bent one end and cracked the paint!!
