Default Torx or Hex

I was just heading over to Sears to pick up some tools for my Bike but I can't quite remember if the bike uses the Torx or Hex bits. I'm pretty sure its the torx but don't want to buy the wrong tools and have to make a return trip and I don't have my owners manual with me. Little help please???

You will need both torx and hex (allen). If you get a set of torx bits, make sure the set includes a T-27 bit. (Some sets do not include that one and you will need it.)

You will also need the allen bit that is one size bigger than one comes in most kits. I needed it to take the AC Cover off. Hope that helps

On my Dyna I use the torx bit just to get the screw off, then I replace with a SS allen.

Torx screws are a headache waiting to happen

Just my opinion

make sure you get a No.27 torx, most sets don't come with it and you need it for the derby and primary inspection.

Get an Easy-out set too. Never fails, at least one Torx head is going to strip out on whatever part you are trying to remove.
