sipping problem

sipping problem
has any body had any trouble with the seam between the motor and the tranny sipping oil ?on a 05 dyna the dealer says it is normal and want me to watch it. if it gets worse then they will take care of it . so what do you all think. it is under warranty.

This has been discussed before. I understand that this is a common thing with Dynas and is most noticable on the ones with silver cases. The seam between the engine and trans get a little dark oil stain on it. I've been told by dealers that this is not a leak as there is no oil in that area and no gasket between the trans and engine. It could be machining oil left over from the manufacturing process. As I've mentioned before, I clean ming every couple weeks with brake cleaner and the wife's tooth brush. Looks good as new, but the wife's teeth are getting a little stained.

I have the same thing on my 06 WG. It's very little, and I noticed it once...there was quite a bit..since I cleaned it, it's only be a tiny bit each time I ride. I'm going to keep an eye on it...I'm hoping that the explanation above is the correct one..but I'm still going to bring it up the next time I go in for service.
I wish I would've thought of the toothbrush and brake fluid. Is brake fluid toxic? We just took out a new life insurance policy

NOT BRAKE FLUID!!!!! IT WILL DO SERIOUS DAMAGE. USE BRAKE CLEANER. It comes in spray can and you can get it at any auto parts store or walmart or kmart.
